The Crownmate Serum Stamp is a microneedling device for at-home scalp care. It has 140 fine needles and a built-in 10ml serum chamber, so you stamp and apply your serum in one step. Depth is adjustable from 0.25mm to 3.0mm. Beginners should start at 0.25mm and build up gradually. Stamp evenly across thinning areas once or twice a week, ideally before bed. Rinse the stamp head after each session, clean the needles with isopropyl alcohol, reseal the serum chamber with the silicone plug, and store it with the protective cap on. Avoid broken or irritated skin, and check with a dermatologist first if you have a scalp condition.

A Randomized Evaluator Blinded Study of Effect of Microneedling in Androgenetic Alopecia: A Pilot Study
100 men with androgenetic alopecia were split into two groups over 12 weeks. One group used weekly 1.5mm microneedling plus twice-daily 5% minoxidil; the other used minoxidil alone. Hair count rose by 91.4 hairs/cm² in the microneedling group, compared with 22.2 in the minoxidil-only group. 82% of the microneedling group reported over 50% improvement, versus 4.5% in the minoxidil-only group. Microneedling was tested as an add-on to minoxidil, not as a standalone treatment.

Microneedling and Its Use in Hair Loss Disorders: A Systematic Review
Researchers reviewed 22 clinical studies covering 1,127 people, spanning different needling devices, depths, and treatment schedules. Across these studies, microneedling generally improved hair loss outcomes as an add-on to other treatments. The authors rated the overall evidence quality as relatively low, noting significant differences between studies and calling for larger, better-designed trials to confirm best practices.

Evaluating the Efficacy and Safety of Combined Microneedling Therapy versus Topical Minoxidil in Androgenetic Alopecia: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
This meta-analysis pooled 12 randomized controlled trials covering 631 people with androgenetic alopecia. Combining microneedling with minoxidil significantly improved hair count compared with minoxidil alone. Needling depth (1mm or less vs. more than 1mm) did not make a significant difference to the effect, though the studies varied widely in design, making the pooled result less precise.
